Life Cover Benefit
You can claim in the case of a policyholder’s death during the benefit term. The sum assured will then be paid to nominated beneficiaries, provided no terminal illness benefit was paid and there are no cessions on the policy.
You can also claim following the diagnosis of a terminal illness with a life expectancy of 12 months or less. This must be confirmed by the treating medical specialist, supported by detailed medical evidence, and reviewed by the glu assessment team and Chief Medical Officer.
Critical Illness Benefit
If you (or your biological, adopted or stepchildren up to the age of 18) have been diagnosed with a dread disease listed under your policy’s critical illness conditions, which significantly affects quality of life and meets the assessment criteria.
Disability Benefit
If you’ve been diagnosed with an illness that has affected your ability to earn an income, where the severity, significance and permanence of the condition means you’re unable to perform duties in your own nominated occupation or an alternative occupation.
Income Protection Benefit
If you’re unable to perform your own occupational duties and generate an income, due to injury or illness that results in physical and/or cognitive limitations.
